Abstract


This thesis was planned to compare the pathological and immunohistochemical lesions in natural and experimental infections of velogenic Newcastle disease virus at different ages of broiler chickens.
The present study was divided into two main studies. The 1ststudy was concerning with naturally infected broiler chickens in different localities in Egypt, meanwhile, the 2ndstudy interested in the experimental infection of commercial broiler chickens with velogenic NDV at different ages.
The surveillance study was conducted on different broiler breeds farms that showing clinical signs and high mortality rates in some Egyptian governorates including Alexandria, El Beheira, North Sinai, Damietta, Dakahlia, Qaliubia, Giza, Fayoum, El Menia and Assyout between 2016 and 2018.
