Abstract


Joint replacement (arthroplasty) is effective widely performed treatment that leads to improvement in function, pain, performance in activities of daily living, and quality of life in the oldest patients (Linsell et al., 2016).
After successful THR surgery, patient will have significant improvement of quality of life in terms of physical, psychosocial and spiritual health (Greene, 2017).
Aim of the Study
This study was carried out to assess quality of life for older adult post hip joint replacement through:
• Recognizing older adult knowledge about hip joint replacement.
• Assessing older adult practices regarding hip joint replacement.
• Assessing older adult quality of life (physical, social and psychological domains) post hip replacement.
Research questions
1) Is there a relation between older adult's socio-demographic characteristics and their knowledge post hip joint replacement?
