Color and Translucency of Repressed Lithium Disilicate Subjected to Multiple Firings and Aging

Hend Abd El-Moniem Mohamed Ahmed;

Abstract

Dental ceramic materials are most commonly used nowadays in fabrication of different types of restorations owing to their exceptional outstanding esthetics. So, evaluation of the factors that may affect their color properties and the color stability is a must. And since some laboratories tend to reuse the leftover material from the pressing procedure and the fabrication technique itself may affect the color properties so evaluation of the effect of firing cycles on color and translucency of repressed lithium disilicate especially the long term evaluation is essential to construct highly esthetic restorations.
