CLINICAL FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH URINARY ALBUMIN EXCRETION TYPE II DIABETES
Rasha Ibrahim Abdel Aziz El-Refee;
Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a clinical syndrome characterized by hyperglycemia due to deficiency or diminished effectiveness of insulin , lack of insulin whether absolute or relative, affect the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, fat, water, electrolytes and sometimes with grave consequences.
Diabetic nephropathy is the most frequent cause of end stage renal disease (ESRD).
NIDDM causes 60% of the ESRD, the incidence of ESRD
secondary to NIDDM is predicted to increase substantially.
The aim of the present study is to asses the clinical factors associated with uninary albumin excretion in NIDDM. 100 paUents with NIDDM will be in enrolled in this study.
The three classes of UAE will be correlated with various aclinical factors in non insulin depedent diabetic patients within
duration of 8 months.
Our study shows that normoalbuminuric excretion percentage in all studied patient is (52%). while percentage of MlA is 28% and percentage of MAA is (20%).
In this study. we found that in non insulin depedent diabetic patients (The male gender. obese, smoker.
(} hypertensive patient, poor glycamic control of long duration with increase serum creatinine level.
