Abstract

BUZZATI, DISEGNATORE E POETA ASSOLUTO DEL NERO MILANESE: POEMA A FUMETTI è il titolo di uno studio che cerca qui di mettere in rassegna le componenti verbali, grafiche e visuali in questo complesso romanzo ‘doppio’ sotto forma di testo, immagine e musica che si sviluppano in simbiosi perfetta. Ciò che mi propongo è di illustrare il cammino di Buzzati nel suo avventuroso viaggio infernale nell’oltretomba, ricorrendo a una tecnica modernissima che, con grande anticipazione dei tempi, sperimentava sorprendentemente la felice contaminazione di linguaggi diversi quali quello poetico, artistico-figurativo, e fiabesco. Il suo è un nuovo trattamento in altre forme e linguaggi quelli che erano già i temi ricorrenti della sua narrativa: il rapporto con la morte, l’ineluttabilità del destino, l’interrogazione sull’aldilà, l’insonne ricerca di un trascendente.

BUZZATI, DESIGNER AND ABSOLUTE POET OF BLACK MILAN: POEMA A FUMETTI is the title of a study that tries to review the verbal, graphic and visual components in this complex 'double' novel in the form of text, image and music that is develop in perfect symbiosis. What i propose is to illustrate Buzzati's journey on his adventurous journey through the underworld, using a very modern technique that, with great anticipation of the times, surprisingly experienced the happy contamination of different languages such as poetic, artistic-figurative, and fairytale. His is a new treatment in other forms and languages that were already the recurring themes of his narrative: the relationship with death, the inevitability of destiny, the interrogation on the beyond, the insomniac search for a transcendent.
