Value of Urinary Heme Oxygenase 1 as an Early Biomarker in Diabetic Nephropathy
Aya Mohamed Magdi Abdelalim;
Abstract
ur study examined urinary heme oxygenase -1 as an early biomarker of early diabetic nephropathy in comparison to albumin creatinine ratio in 80 type 2 diabetic patients and twenty healthy controls.
We chose our patients in the form of 2 groups group (1) with microalbuminuria (ACR =30:300) and group (2) with normoalbuminuria (ACR <30)
There was a statistically significant difference between different readings of serum creatinine, Uho-1and ACR in both groups with a P value < 0.001.
