Abstract


ABSTRACT
Background: Thoracolumbar spine fractures are common injuries that can result in significant disability, deformity and neurological deficit. Controversies exist regarding the appropriate radiological investigations, the indications for surgical management and the timing, approach and type of surgery.
Objective: To review the literature for available evidence about the advantages and disadvantages of Percutaneous Pedicle Screw Fixation for Neurologic Intact Thoracolumbar Burst Fractures in comparison with the open surgical procedure.
