Progranulin in the Diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Amir Ashraf Mohamed Fawzi Mahmoud;

Abstract

ALL is one of the most common hematological malignancies. Continued search for ALL biomarkers is important for improving accuracy of diagnosis, ability to predict prognosis, guiding treatment and identifying new targets for therapy. PGRN is growth factor that is the precursor of a novel family of growth modulating polypeptides. It exhibits many roles as a regulator of cell proliferation, differentiation, migration under both physiological and pathologic conditions. PGRN was found to be elevated in a number of cancers including hematological malignancies.
