EVALUATION OF THE REGULATORY ROLE OF TGF-β SIGNALING IN THE MALIGNANT TRANSFORMATION OF INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISORDERS IN EGYPTIAN PATIENTS

Ihab Abdel Moneam Abdel Maqsoud;

Abstract

AIM OF THE WORK
The purpose of conducting this study was to understand the regulatory roles played by the TGF-β signaling network at the interface of tumor and host immunity.
Working on this direction should help to shed light on the underlying mechanisms through which TGF-β may either act as a tumor suppressor, inhibiting the transformation of benign inflammation, or act as pro-oncogenic, promoting the transformation of chronic inflammation, such as IBD,and facilitate the initiation and progression of malignancy.
