Abstract


Obesity is a critical public health problem. One of the pathologic conditions observed in obesity is systemic iron deficiency and hypoferremia. Iron deficiency is one of the most predominant worldwide nutritional problems. Obesity and iron deficiency are two of the most common nutritional disorders in the world.
The aim of this study was to explore the effect of lactoferrin compared to conventional iron therapy in treating iron deficiency anemia in obese school age children.
