Evidence based Practice for Nursing Management of Fever in Neonatal Intensive Care Units
Shereen Said Gouda Ahmed;
Abstract
It was recommended that nursing protocols be developed in an interdisciplinary manner to foster local adaptation of better practices. This could further improve nursing practice by encouraging nurses to think of protocols, not as a recipe, but rather as a guide when individualizing patient care. The value of specialty knowledge lies in narrowing the translational gap, offering institutions evidence for planning and structuring the organization of care (Thompson and Kagan, 2011). Moreover, the nurse must have thorough knowledge of the equipment available and how to use it safely and appropriately (Montanholi etal., 2011)
