GEOPHYSICALSTUDIES OF THE AREA NORTH EASTERN ASYIAN, EASTERN DESERT, A.R.E.

ِAhmed Wahballa Mohamed;

Abstract

Intersting results have been explored from the combined analysis of the various geophysical data (aeromagnetic and aeroradiometricl beside the aid
of surface geology of the •area under study, localized in the southeastern

0 0 0 0
Desert of Egypt and bounded by lat. 24 and 25 N, and long. 33 and 24

30\ E.

Qualitative and quantitative interpretations of the aeromagnetic data of the area were carried out. The qualitative interpretation was conducted using various forms of representations to.the aeromagnetic data.
1- At frist the aeromagnetic map was described•

2- The constructuted maps (residual, second vertical derivative, and downward continuation) are almost similar in every thing. It is observed that the distribution of the anomalies and structural trends are nearly the same. The main tectonic elements interpreted from these maps showed the
following arrangement according to their importance.

0 0 0 0
N 45 W, N 45 E, N 65 E, E-W,N 35 E and N-S.
