Abstract


Palliative care is care that focuses on relieving side effects caused by serious illness like cancer. Palliative care can be given at any point during a person's illness to help them feel more comfortable. Palliative care helps patient cope with the side effects of cancer and cancer treatment. Palliative care is care for patients with serious illness that focuses on relieving suffering for patients and their families, but is not intended to cure the disease itself. Palliative care focuses on helping people get relief the side effects caused by serious illness. Palliative care looks to help with emotional and spiritual problems (Ferrell & Coyle, 2012).
