ELECTRODEPOSITION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NANO CRYSTALLINE COBALT COATINGS USED FOR SOLAR ENERGY ABSORBERS

Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Wahab Raslan;

Abstract

Changing the current density, time and adding cobalt nitrate have a noteworthy effect on the characteristics of nano crystalline cobalt coating on the stainless steel 304 substrate. Appling of annealing heat treatment after electrodeposition leads to microstructure transformations and morphology changes which are affecting the optical properties of the formed black cobalt based surface layers, which used as solar energy absorber.
