Ali Alfrgani Ali Aghwider;
Abstract
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of virgin olive oil on some hematological, biochemical and hormonal parameters in normal and hyperlipidemic male rats.
The study also, extended to measure food consumption rate , body weight and feed conversion ratio in rats receiving basel or hyperlipidemic diet. This study was carried out using seventy healthy male rats their weights ranged from 90-110 gm. All animal was kept on the basal diet for one week and randomly divided on two experiments. The experimental period extends for 4 weeks.
- First experiment: The rats were equally and randomly divided into three groups (10 each): The first group was the control group used in the first experiment. The group received basel diet and supplemented with 1ml saline by gastric tube for 4 weeks.
