ANALYTICAL INVESTIGATION OF ORGANIC ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

Safaa Mohamed Riad;

Abstract

Environment can be defined as all the inanimate compartments such as air, soil, and water and all the animate components such as plants and animals that surround a particular organisms (IJ.

Any direct or indirect alteration of the physical, thermal, biological, or radioactive properties of any part of the environment are considered as pollution.
Pollution is raised by discharging, emitting, or depositing wastes or

substances so as to affect any beneficial use adversely.

It causes a condition, which is hazardous or potentially hazardous to public health safety, welfare, animals, birds, wild life, aquatic life or plants (2)
One can classify environmental pollution into a three major abiotic

compartments air, water and soil, or sediments.

Surface water constitutes SO% of drinking water consumption, this later can be easily contaminated both by industrial discharge (point sources) and run off from fields (non point sources) (3) •

Water is considered as one of the necessary molecular reactants in biological synthesis and metabolism. It distributes nutrients and other essential chemicals throughout the organism <•> .

1.2.Water pollution.

Water pollution can be defined as:

The alteration in composition or condition of water, either directly or indirectly as a result of man activities, which initiate modification of ecological system.
