Role of Falloposcopy in Gynecology

Eman Samir Mohammad;

Abstract

Falloposcopy is a transvaginal microendoscopic technique to explore
I
the human fallopian tube from the uterotubal ostium to the fimbria!end. •

It provides a unique possibility to visualize endotubal disease and may provide a valuable instrument for in-vivo exploration oftubalphysiology. The greater accuracy of diagnosis by falloposcopy in comparison with other investigations for tubal patency may indicate that it should be incorporated into the initial screening of infertile patients. It may also be useful therapeutically for the recanalization of occluded tubes. Falloposcopic tuboplasty has been established as a highly useful, less invasive and nova! treatment for tubal infertility. This technique may be
useful in selected patients with tubal infertility.
