Abstract


Critical reading is one of the most important skills in English. Through critical reading, the students can examine the information to see if it is accurate and evaluate ideas to decide if they are valid and applicable to their experience. Students need to be critical readers in order to cope with the complexity of the age of information. In addition, critical writing skill is an essential process not only as an important skill that should be mastered by secondary students but also as an assessing instrument used to measure student's progress .Many researchers assured the relationship between reading and writing skills. There is a strong integration and mutual relationship between critical reading and writing skills. Critical writing skills are considered the written form of critical reading skills. Critical writing skills are important for secondary students. They should have the ability to write critically.
