Abstract


denoidectomy is a surgical removal of hypertrophic nasopharyngeal lymphoid tissue forming a part of the Waldeyer's ring, Adenoid hypertrophy causes nasal obstruction and airway problems such as snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, recurrent sinusitis, and/or Eustachian tube dysfunction. These complications frequently lead to a need for adenoidectomy.
Adenoidectomy remains one of the surgical procedures most frequently performed by otolaryngologist. There have been several operative techniques used for adenoidectomy.
In this study we will try to compare between cold curettage and endoscopic coblation technique as regard operative time, blood loss, post-operative pain and complications.
In the present study, we searched Medline via PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) from 1998 till 2019 Finally, 14 studies (No. of patients =1427) were included in the present systematic review and meta-analysis
