HEAT TRANSFER IN THE BOUNDARY LAYER
Mohammed Ali Ali Bazid;
Abstract
The study of heat transfer over a stretched surface in the boundary layer is considered very essential to understand the behaviour of performance of fluid motion in several applications.
Such study de !with the formulation and analysis of the momentum and energy equations including the possible physical processes of heat transfer over a stretched surface in the boundary layer.
Because this motion was described by a system of non-linear partial differential equations, we used the theory of boundary layer to put the equations in a simple form which can be treated using the numerical methods.
The thesis consists of six chapters as follows:
In chapter one, General Review
The first chapter presents a general review to the following
topics.
1- The basic concepts of the boundary layer theory.
2- The basic equations.
3- Heat transfer.
4- Flow in a porous medium.
5- Review of related researches.
6- The present work.
