Abstract


Work stress has been recognized as one of the crucial work place problems in different countries around the world. Stress among employees of universities from across the globe indicates that the phenomenon of work stress in universities is alarming, widespread and increasing. The major sources of stress among universities employees include lack of funding, work overload, inadequate resources and support services, lack of promotion opportunities, inadequate recognition, inadequate salary, poor leadership and limited participation in decision making.
Understanding job satisfaction is of great importance for two reasons: personally for employees and for managers, because it affects employees’ productivity.
Aim of the study:
This study aimed to assess psychological stressors and job satisfaction among employees working in Ain Shams University.
