Abstract
Derogatory idioms are the most important part of each nation language; derogatory idioms are rich of culture. Chinese and Arabic language both have a lot of derogatory idioms. Chinese and Arab nation is affected by two different kind of culture, each nation has different cultural connotation, so in this paper will make a comparison between Chinese and Arabic derogatory idioms.
This paper structure is divided into four parts; first part is the introduction of this paper which mainly contains the reason for the choice, the content and the way of research. The second part explains of Chinese and Arabic derogatory idioms definition and characteristics. The third part consists of four sections:
The first section compares modern Chinese and Arabic derogatory idioms from foreign languages, military fields, medical fields or science, religion, history, idioms, heritage, dialects, etc. The second section compares the structural types of modern Chinese and Arabic derogatory idioms. The third section compares the semantic fields of the modern Chinese-Arabic derogatory idioms. Through this comparison, Egyptian Chinese learners can better understand the similarities and differences between Chinese and Arabic cultures, and it is easier for Egyptian Chinese learners to understand the cultural connotations behind Chinese derogatory idioms and help them to correctly use Chinese derogatory idioms .In the fourth section, through the investigation of Chinese language learners' understanding of Chinese idioms and the analysis of common errors, try to put forward relevant teaching suggestions. The fourth part is the conclusion of this paper and references. The conclusion is a summary of the views of the whole paper, including the important results of the paper, such as: derogatory idioms can reflect the cultural characteristics of the two languages. Due to their different customs, the two peoples have formed different cognition of derogatory idioms. Through such comparison,
