Vrinary Lipid Profile In Nephrotic Syndrome, Renal Insufficiency and Hyperlipidaemic Patients
Ahmed Ramadan Ali;
Abstract
Recent attention has been paid to the role of hyperlipidaemia in pathogenesis of glomerulosclerosis and progressive deterioration of renal
function (Attman and Allaupovic, 1991).
Patients with primary hyperlipidaemia are not known to have renal glomerluosclerosis, while patients having hyperlipidaemia with underlying renal disease either renal insufficiency or nephrotic syndrome were noticed to have renal glomerulosclerosis (Altman, 1993 and Lee et aL, 1991).
Our study was carried on thirty patients and eight control subjects from inpatient and outpatient clinic ;of Ain Shams University hospital and
\
they were classified into two groups, group I: twenty patients with renal disease divided into group Ia, included ten patients with nephrotic syndrome having normal renal function and group Ib, included ten patients with mild renal insufficiency having serum creattnine ranged from 1.5 mg
%to 3mg%.
group II, ten patients with primary hyperlipidaemia having normal renal function.
The following was done to every subject:
-Complete history and clinical examination.
- Complete urine analysis,
- Urinary twenty four hours proteins,
• i Serum lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) and
.,
-Urinary lipids profiles using T.L.C. technique.
