BIOSYNTHESIS OF METALLIC NANOPARTICLES USING FUNGI AND ITS APPLICATIONS
Shrouk Salah El-deen Farah Mahmmoud;
Abstract
Nanotechnology is the science that deals with the matters in the size ranged from 1 to 100 nm; these matters are called nanoparticles (NPs). Nanoparticles acquired special different properties in comparing to their properties in original size (Mansoori, 2005). Nanoparticles are considered the building units of nanotechnology (Mansoori et al., 2007). It is important to synthesize different nanoparticles using enviromentally safe protocols. To make this, we began to use biological factories. This is the target of nanobiotechnology, which has many benefits like feasibility can be scaled up, covering large areas by mycelial growth, etc (Mansoori,2005).
