Histological Alterations and Physiological Regulation of Coenzyme Q10 and Alpha Lipoic acid on Heart-FABP and Cardiac Membrane Bounding ATP-ase Activities in Obese Hypertensive Rats
Mona Fathy Shawky Nasr;
Abstract
Obesity is a serious health problem which has become prevalent in developed countries in recent years. Physiologically, it results from an imbalance between energy intake and energy expenditure and is characterized by increased fat accumulation in adipose tissue and elevated lipid concentrations in blood. Visceral fat mass is more closely correlated with obesity-associated pathology than overall adiposity.
Hypertension is considered one of the prevalent risk factors for coronary heart disease, cardiovascular disease, ischemic heart disease and cardiac failure in which systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure are increasing compared to normal level. Hypertension leads to endothelial dysfunction and sebsequently damage this layer.
Poloxamer-407 is the mean cause for elevated cholesterol and triglycerides in blood through its effect on cholesterol synthases and accumulation of fats in body and finally leads to obesity. Sodium chloride salt causes increase of blood pressure than normal by enhanced Na+ reabsorption through the kidney.
