Abstract

Electroanalytical techniques have many advantages
making it an appealing choice for real samples analysis.
Electroanalytical techniques are characterized by high
accuracy and the ability to analyze in a wide linear
concentration range with high sensitivity and high selectivity,
in addition to instrumental simplicity, moderate cost and
portability. Voltammetric sensors, an important class of
electrochemical sensors, are effective, reliable, and versatile
sensing platforms that offer high sensitivity, short analysis
time, low cost and handling convenience.
This thesis describes the development, surface and
electrochemical characterization, as well as analytical
applications of promising voltammetric sensors developed
for routine analysis of some clinically and environmentally
relevant species in a rapid, sensitive, operationally simple,
and cost-effective manner.
This thesis is divided into five chapters. A brief description
