Abstract


ndrogenetic alopecia (AGA) is a frequently reported hair disorder that affects both men and women, with a higher incidence generally found in males (Mysore et al., 2019).
It can affect all races, but the prevalence is the highest in Caucasians with a rate of 30% of AGA males in 30s, 40% in their 40s and 50% in their 50s (Kelly et al., 2016).
It occurs due to genetic, hormonal causes. Moreover, many other studies showed that other factors such as, smoking, obesity, regular physical activity, eating un-healthy food and an exposure to stress may play an important role in the etiopathogenesis of AGA, as all these factors can lead to the imbalance of oxidative stress state that results in follicular microinflammation and fibrosis (Fortes et al., 2017). Negative psychological impact such as depression and feeling unattractive were also related to AGA (swant et al., 2010).
