ANALYTICAL STUDY OF TWO TRANSLATIONS OF PASSIVE STRUCTURE IN THE 30th CHAPTER OF THE GLORIOUS QUR’AN: A CONTRASTIVE STUDY.

Abstract

The research compares and analyzes the different translations of the passive syntactic structure of some verses of the 30th Chapter of the Glorious Qur’an, to show in what way different translations have affected the accuracy and faithfulness of the original text. The choice of the 30th Chapter of the Glorious Qur’anin particularly is deliberate, since it is easy for everyone to understand and, most importantly, to memorize. In order to give a detailed analysis, the researcher relies on the following Quranic translations: Muhammad Al-Hilali (MH, 1998) and Muhammad Khan (MK,1998), and Muhammad Asad (MA, 1980). In addition to that, researcher makes use of different Quranic interpretation such as Ibu El Hayani (1413, AH), El Alousy (1946) as well as Tafsir Al-Jalalayn,(870 AH) and dictionaries such as Oxford Dictionary and /Ɂel maʕani/ Dictionary, throughout the research, in order to determine the most accurate interpretation of the Quranic sentence structure in the 30th Chapter of the Glorious Qur’an.
