Abstract

Video gamers along way had experienced severe damaging complication because of gaming habits, including losing jobs, relationships or deterioration in education, poor feeding, sleep and fitness, in addition to grief, isolation and poorer intellectual activity. Life-threatening complications, that still have no supportive scientific evidence, link deaths due to this type of addiction, to hydration deficiency, movement deficiency or indirectly by ignoring dependents.
True damage occurs when gaming impacts negatively overall physical and psychological wellbeing or impacts very negatively in an important area in one’s life (e.g. relationships, school performance, professional life, etc.), not if it diverts gamers from other recreational activities.
Otherwise, others postulated many positive feedbacks gained by video gamers including skills and challenge progress, satisfaction, socialization, reduction of stress and distraction in tough periods.
Based on that, this study was conducted on 30 male and female adolescents were diagnosed according to video game questionnaire as having video game addiction disorder recruited from outpatient clinics of Ain Shams University undergraduates hospital located in eastern Cairo, Egypt, aging from 18 to 25 years old who had not recent changes in the drug treatment over the last 6 months.
