URODYNAMIC EVALUATION OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC PROSTATITIS

Abstract


The prostatitis syndromes are of great significance for urologist, as has been demonstrated in recent studies dealing with epidemiological data.


The aim of this study is to evaluate patients with chronic prostatitis urodynamically to attempt to define a specific urodynamic pattern in this group of patients, that might add information to the pathophysiology of the syndrome and aid the clinician in treating such patients more specifically and possible more efficiently.


This study include 50 patients with chronic prostatitis, all patients are evaluated by:
- History.

- Clinical examination.

- Four glass test.

- Plain xray on urinary tract, pelvi• abdominal ultrasound to exclude other urinary tract pathology.
- Urodynamic evaluation in the form of:

• Flowmetry.

• Cystometrogram (filling cystometry and voiding cystometry).

• Electromyography.
