RASHA MOHSEN ABD EL WAHAB BONDOK;
Abstract
This study was carried out in Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University and the Regional Center for Food and Feed (RCFF), Agriculture Research Center (ARC), Egypt during 2016 - 2017.
The study the effect of using some elicitation substances (Biotic and Abiotic) on the production and nutritional value of radish, rocket and broccoli.
Radish Experiment:
The effect of CaCl2 concentrations on the radish sprout characters and its nutritional value at 3, 5 and 7 days old sprout concluded that:
1- Application of calcium choired at soaking 10 μmol/L improved sig. (p≤0.05) sprout length (cm) of radish at 3, 5 and 7 days old compared with other Calcium choired treatment in two experiments (2016 and 2017).
2- Application of CaCl2 at soaking 10 or 15 μmol/L improved sig. (p≤0.05) hypocotyl length (cm) of radish at 3 day old compared with other levels CaCl2 treatment in two experiments (2016 and 2017). While, application of CaCl2 at soaking 10 μmol/L improved sig. (p≤0.05) hypocotyl length (cm) of radish at 5 and 7 days old compared with other CaCl2 treatments in two experiments (2016 and 2017).
