Abstract


The use of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM)
for variable - speed industrial drive applications has always been a valuable suggestion. The permanent magnet synchronous

motor, often the best choice among a.c. machines for many

• industrial tasks. It is simple, cheap, high efficient, and robust in construction. In this thesis a new study of

permanent magnet synchronous motor with voltage - frequency control is proposed. This technique uses a rectifier (fully controlled bridge) and an inverter (pulse-width modulation). This method provides a mean of speed control, which is
simple, continuous, and relatively economical .
