HIGH VOLTAGE NETWORKS ANALYSIS AND THE IMPACT OF PHOTOVOLTAIC INTEGRATION ON THEIR STABILITIES

Abstract
The impact of large solar plants on High voltage networks due to rapid variation in their power injection. In the first step of this research paper, 39-bus 10 Machine new England test system is implemented by means of the certified SIEMENS software PSS/E. After using data from such a company, then a steady state study and dynamic study is conducted. Consequently the network topology has been changed but by maintaining the main core of the system. The Photovoltaic Power Plant is added to the modified 39-bus New England test system. To demonstrate a high penetration of PV, the power generation from PV has been increased up from 5% to 30% from the total generation of the network. The responses obtained from these studies indicate that vulnerability of the system increases with the increase in penetration of PV power.
