Abstract


Open heart surgery plays an important role in the management of cardiovascular diseases and encompasses the care of a patient with greater acuity, complexity, cardiac surgery, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and vavular surgery represent the most common classes of surgical procedure performed globally (Abdallah, 2013).
Aim of the study:
This study aims at assessing factor affecting nurses’ performance regarding post-operative care of patient with open-heart surgery through the following:
1- Assessing the nurses’ knowledge regarding post-operative care of patient with open-heart surgery.
2- Assessing the nurses’ practice regarding post-operative care of patient with open-heart surgery.
3- Assessing the nurse's attitude regarding post-operative care of patient.
4- Assessing factors affecting nurse's performance regarding post-operative care of patient with open-heart surgery.
