Abstract


Aswan is considered one of the important Egyptian Governorates as it Represents the south gate to Egypt. Moreover, the existences of Aswan High Dam which represent a strategic element of the Egyptian country give this city high importance. Water quality evaluation of River Nile water is very important to see the feasibility of using the Nile water as a source for various activities like suitability for aquatic life, drinking, Irrigation ……. etc.

Protection of water provides from contamination is the initial line of defense. Provide protection thus of forever the only way to guarantee safe water and can be preferred to treat a contaminated water system to produce it acceptable for consumption.

The reason for Topic Selection, objective and Targets
Egypt is very passionate about the watercourse Nile; where other fresh resources are hardly available. The Nile is the main source of water for Egypt, providing over 97% of the country’s water supply. Recently, researchers from around the world became terribly curious about the challenges and cooperation opportunities for the River Nile.
Due to the importance of the River Nile as it is Egypt's main source of drinking water and irrigation, and because of the spread of sources of pollution along the River Nile from the city of Aswan, which represents the first point of running the River Nile (after Lake Nasser , the High Dam and the city of Damietta), also it is considered as the second source for groundwater wells, Water quality in the city of Aswan whether surface water of the Nile or groundwater was studied for two main reasons:
