Abstract


In fact, most Arab and foreign studies indicate that there is a relationship between family and the disordered behavior of the child. If a child suffers from behavioral disorders, it is basically the reflection of social conflicts within the family, hence the best way to help the child is to help his parents.
Child’s behavior is a useful indicator of his ability to adjust to the surrounding environment and contact with others. It is also an indirect indicator of the ability of the family and society to refine his behavior, since the emergence of behavioral problems and disorders of child are often characterized by the inconsistency of their behavior or responses with what is acceptable and familiar in the social environment, It is the outcome of their failure to rely on socially required behavior.
The majority of researchers focus on the manifestations and symptoms of behavioral problems and disorders. However, it is difficult to reach their causes and motives and indulging into the human self to discover roots and seeds create these behavioral disorders.
Behavioral disorders are groupings of wrong or incompatible behavioral habits that are learned and gained as a result of repeated exposure to the experiences leading to them. These learned behavioral disorders can be treated by modifying and changing them one by one, modification and change from bad to better, from unfamiliar to familiar, so that, the behavior becomes more effective, sufficient, realistic and useful.
This study comes to explore the effectiveness of a behavioral cognitive program in reducing and facing behavioral disorders among children of late childhood stage. Hence, the problem of the current study is reflected in the increasing behavioral disorders in children as a problem facing society at the local and global level. So, it is necessary to give more attention to th development of counseling and treatment programs for the rehabilitation of children and parent.
Study Objectives:
1- Checking the effectiveness of a proposed behavioral cognitive program in meeting some behavioral disorders, namely, hyperactivity accompanying distraction and anxiety.
