Abstract
Introduction: Pain perception is composed of highly interactive, emotional, cognitive as well as sensory components. Aim of the study: is to assess pediatric nurses' perception of pain among pre-school age hospitalized children. Research design: Descriptive design was utilized to conduct this study. Settings: The study was conducted at Children's Hospital affiliated to Ain-Shams University Hospitals in pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Wards, Emergency Departments and Oncology Units. Subjects: The subjects included 80 pediatric nurses and 80 pre-school children with pain at the previously mentioned settings over a six month periods.
