Abstract

Wadi Khuda-Wadi Shut area in the south Eastern Desert (SED) of Egypt is located on the Red Sea Coast about 180 km south Marsa Alam City, between latitudes 23° 33' and 23° 50' N and longitudes 35° 05' and 35° 26' E.
The area is built up of Pan-African Precambrian basement rocks of metamorphic and magmatic assemblages. The metamorphic one comprises gneisses-migmatites, ophiolitic serpentinites and island-arc metavolcanics. These rock units are intruded by syn - to late - tectonic magmatic assemblage of diorite, granodiorite, ultramafic-mafic association, and syenogranite intrusions. The whole sequence is traversed by post tectonic dykes, veins and quartz plug.
