Abstract

Based on the results of previous studies that emphasized the weakness of environmental behavior and environmental responsibility among students - especially in basic education stages - and the call of many conferences and United Nations reports to the importance of environmental education and attention to developing positive environmental behaviors among students, as well as reviewing the reality of teaching different school subjects in the primary education stage And lack of interest in practicing activities as an essential part of the school curriculum, especially the use of traditional teaching methods in teaching those subjects, while noting the development of environmental behavior even if some environmental issues are included within the curricula. To study. Also, the inconsistency in the results prompted the researcher to do this study. In light of the above, the current study problem can be identified in the main question, which is: What is the extent of the relationship between the behaviors of a sample of students in the late childhood stage in their environment, and the environmental responsibility of these students? This main question is subdivided into the following sub-questions: 1. Is there a relationship between students ’environmental responsibility and their behavior towards the environment?
