Mariam Samir Nabih;

Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess the effect of leucocyte Platelet rich fibrin (L-PRF) covered by perforated membrane (PM) clinically by clinical attachment level (CAL) as primary outcome and radiographically as secondary outcome in two and three osseous wall intrabony defects.
A total sample of 40 patients was enrolled in this study. Patients (26 females and 14 males; aged 28 to 49 years; mean age: 38.85 ± 4.5 years) with intrabony interproximal defects (2 or 3 wall) premolar/molar area (stage III, grade B) were recruited from the outpatient clinic of Oral Medicine, Periodontology and Oral Diagnosis department, Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University and Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Future University in Egypt. The four treatment modalities were randomly allocated (from June 2018 to December 2019) by a predetermined computer generated randomization list (www.randomizer.org) into 4 equal groups;
 Group I (control group) open flap debridement (OFD): included intrabony defects treated by open flap debridement (OFD).
 Group II perforated membrane (PM): included intrabony defects treated by perforated membranes.
