DIAGNOSTIC AND PROGNOSTIC VALUE OF P53 IN ACUTE LEUKAEMIA

Abstract


This study was performed on seventy seven patients with acute leukaemia subgrouped into:
(I) Before induction of chemotherapy:
This group comprised 44 patients of recently diagnosed AL (26 males and 18 females) and was subdivided as following:
(A) AML : 30 patients
1) FAB Ml : 6 patients
a) 4 patients were re-examined after remission.
b) 2 1mssmg patients i.e.; they disappeared before remiSSIOn.
2) FAB M2 : 6 patients
a) 3 patients were re-examined after remission.
b) 3 m1ssmg patients i.e., they disappeared before

a) 3 patients were re-examined•after remission.
b) 3 passing patients i.e.; they disappeared after remission.•
4) FAB M4 : 7 patients:
a) 6 patients were re-examined after remission.
b) One missing patients i.e.; He disappeared after remission.
