Abstract


leep is an important aspect in life that affects physical health, quality of life and overall well-being in diseased as well as healthy populations. Sleep and circadian rhythm disturbances are prevalent in frail elderly
Frailty is a geriatric syndrome indicating multisystem impairment and increased vulnerability he frailty phenotype in the elderly is characterized by the presence of at least three of the following items: decreased grip strength, a report of fatigue and exhaustion, decreased activity, slow gait and weight loss, Grip strength and slow gait speed are also parameters included in the sarcopenia diagnostic criteria. Frailty and sarcopenia share many risk factors, pathophysiological pathways and clinical consequences.
