Abstract


This thesis is concerned with the study of tlu•ee-nucleon force effect on p-4 He, a- p and a-d scattering,at intennediate and high energies in the framework of Glauber's approximation. Two
approaches are used. In the first approach the three-nucleon force is

presented in the nucleus wave function where the shmt-range conelations between nucleons of the nucleus are, also, included. In the second appro,lch the three-nucleon force is represented by a
conection to the nucleon-nucleon phase shift.

The tilesis is entitled: "Three-Body Force Effect on High Energy Nucleus-Nucleus Scattering" and it consists of six chapters and an appendix as follows:

Chapter 1: The definitions of the three-body forces and nucleon-nucleon short-range conelations are given. Sources, prope1ties and different kinds of the three-body forces are presented. A presentation of the tlu•ee-body forces and shmt-range conelations effects on the calculations of nucleon-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus elastic and inelastic scattering and reactions are given. in the pervious works. The fundamental bases of high energy collision themy of Glauber, which is used in calculations, are presented. The generalization of the theory in nucleus-nucleus scattering case is also presented.
