IMMUNOCHEMICAL STUDIES OF SOME RISK FACTORS ON CORONARY HEART DISEASES

Mohamed Ibrahim Attia Sakrn;

Abstract

Coronary heart disease (CHD) causes high mortality and morbidity in many countries. CHD is a complex disease that is affected by environmental as well as genetic factors. The cause of cardiovascular disease is multifacto1ial. A substential proportion of
• patients with CHD do not have traditional 1isk factors. Infectious

disease may play a role in these cases or they may intensify the effect of other factors. No single factor can account for all causes of coronary heart disease.

• This study was performed to:

1- Assess the significance of association between CHD and each of circulating homocysteine concentration, Chlamydia pneumbniae and Heticobacter pytori IgG seropositivity
2- lnvestig te wheather homocysteine is associated with unstable

angina pectoris and myocardial infarction, in CHD patients and the possible bacterial pathogens that have been implicated as causitive factors in the pathogenesis of CHD.
