STUDIES ON THE PREPARATION OF SUPERPHOSPHATE Ij'ERTILIZERS FROM BLENDS OF EGYPTIAN PHOSPHO-CONCENTRATES
Khalid Mahmoud Mahmoud Elhadi;
Abstract
Egyptian phosphate concentrates from Sebaiya-West (Nile Valley), Abu-Tartur (New Valley) and blends ofthem were processed to produce single, triple and enriched super
phosphates.
Batch scale tests were carried out to determine the optimum operating conditions for preparation of each of these
fertilizers. The effect of the operating conditions, particle size,
•i
temperature, denning time, acid concentration and acid ratio
were systematically studied.
Modifications of the. applied processes were made to improve the quality of the fertilizers prepared.
The study proved that blending of phospho-concentrates and modifications of the applied processes improved to a great
tl extent both physical and chemical qualities of the fertilizers prepared. Reaching to the required standards.
