Stroboscopic Analysis of Voic Beforf and After Different Modalities of Microlaryngeal Surgery

Ata-Allah Hafez Ata-Allah;

Abstract

Sroboscopic examination of the vocal cords rests on the fact that the vibrations of the vocal cords are periodic ,so that
. the vocal cords return to a regular intervals to the same position.If the vocal cords are illuminated in exactly the
same phase of vibration by a short burst of light they appear to be standing still.It is possible to see accuratly
where an epithelial abnormality is situated and how it participates in,or impeds phonation.(P.H.Damste ,1997).

In stroposcopic laryngoscopy one sees the vibrating part of the vocal cords sharbly defined ,and everything which protrudes from their medial surfaces is distinctly observed.(Kitzing, P. ,1995).

The possibiity of the stimulated emmission of radiation was first concevied throught the vision of Albert Enistien in
1917. The theory was that a photon of electromagnetic energy, to emit another photon with the same energy.this hypothesis was realized in a practical experment 10 years later, but world had to wait until 1960 for the 1st laser to be built (maiman 1960).
