Enhancing the competitive capabilities of Egyptian universities In light of strategic agility

Abstract

The university's ability to succeed and compete depends on its ability to positively deal with surrounding societal variables, and on the extent of its high capabilities for distinguished production, on adapting and responding to rapid changes in customer needs and competitors' strategies, and dealing with them effectively. Strategic agility is an entry point through which universities can explore the opportunities they can seize and exploit. to maximize its competitiveness, besides it contributes to achieving flexibility in response and rapid adaptation to internal and external variables; This enables the university to consolidate its strengths and treat weaknesses in a way that helps it gain competitive advantages, which are new and innovative products and services that outperform its competitors, improve its competitive position, and its positions in the global rankings of the best universities. The main objective of this research is to answer the following main question: How can the competitive capabilities of Egyptian universities be strengthened in light of strategic agility? The research used the descriptive approach, through which it reached a set of proposed measures to enhance the competitive capabilities of Egyptian universities in light of strategic agility according to three dimensions: strategic sensitivity, liquidity of resources, and collective commitment.
