Abstract

The optical properties of thin FePc films were studied using spectrophotometric measurements of transmittance and reflectance in the wavelenth range 200-210 nm. The refractive index (n) as well as the absorption index (k) were calculate before and after annealing. The refractive index showed an anomalous dispersion in the absorption region as well as normal dispersion in the transparent region. Analysis of the spectral behavior of the absorption coefficient (α) in the absorption region revealed direct transition. Analysis of α as well as the dielectric constants (ε1 and ε2) revealed several absorption peaks at photon energies before and after annealing.
