Abstract
Novel 2-(1,3-Dioxisoindolin-2-yl)benzoyl isothiocyanate was prepared and underwent addition–cyclization
reactions with some nucleophilic reagents. Simultaneous or subsequent cyclization of the obtained adducts gave
a diverse range of differently sized heterocycles and thioureas. The structures of the synthesized compounds
were confirmed by microanalytical and spectral data.
