The Point Spread Function for some Modulated Apertures using Operator Algebra with Gaussian Beam Illumination
Hamed, Abdallah;
Abstract
In this paper, a non-uniform Gaussian beam is
considered to illuminate microscopic apertures. The
amplitude impulse response or the Point Spread Function
(PSF) is computed assuming different modulated circular
apertures. The modulated apertures considered in this paper,
are linear and quadratic apertures. A comparison of the PSF
for the considered modulated apertures using the non-uniform
Gaussian beam with the corresponding obtained in
uniform illumination is given and discussed. The concept of
operator algebra is applied in the computation of the PSF using
Gaussian illumination
